Uber Eats expands Costco delivery to nearly 600 stores

Uber Technologies Inc. and Costco Wholesale Corp. expanded their delivery partnership to 47 states from 17, the companies announced Wednesday, making nearly 600 Costco warehouses available through the Uber Eats app.

The expansion allows Costco members nationwide to order groceries, household items and bulk products for on-demand or scheduled delivery through Uber Eats. The service previously operated in 17 states.

Customers must have a Costco membership to place orders and will add their membership account information at checkout. Orders can be tracked in real time through the app.

The companies are offering promotional deals tied to the expansion. Eligible Costco members can receive 50% off an annual Uber One membership for the first year, then 20% off in subsequent years. Uber gift cards worth $100 will be sold at participating Costco locations and online for $79.99 for a limited time.

New customers can purchase a Costco membership through Uber Eats and receive 30% off their first eligible order, also for a limited time.
