Amazon will begin offering its U.S. employees discounts on groceries and other everyday essentials beginning Oct. 1, including a 20% discount on purchases made at Whole Foods Market stores.
The new Employee Grocery Discount will be available to Amazon employees across the country, including workers at fulfillment centers, Whole Foods stores and corporate offices.
Employees shopping in person at Whole Foods Market and Whole Foods Market Daily Shop locations will receive 20% off purchases throughout the store, including items from hot and salad bars. Gift cards and alcohol are excluded.
Employees will also receive a 10% discount on eligible fresh groceries, pantry items and everyday essentials sold and shipped by Amazon.com. Online Whole Foods Market orders, including eligible catering purchases, will also receive a 10% discount.
Amazon said there is no spending cap or minimum purchase requirement for the program, and employees will become eligible on their first day of employment.
