JD Sports is optimizing its enterprise to respond effectively to queries from artificial intelligence-based shopping agents.
The U.K.-based global sports footwear and fashion company, which operates over 2,500 stores in North America across five retail brands that include Finish Line, JD Sports, Shoe Palace and Hibbett, has deployed Algolia AI technology as the governed intelligence layer to build its agentic commerce strategy.
Since implementing Algolia in 2024, the retailer says it has increased revenue from search by 22%, lifted search click-through rates by 7.65%, increased product listing page (PLP) click-through rates by 73% and grown PLP revenue by 16%. Leveraging Algolia, JD Sports can answer conversational, intent-heavy queries in milliseconds with the same catalog and ranking logic the retailer users for its e-commerce sites.
In addition, dynamic re-ranking (DRR), which uses real-time click and conversion signals to identify trending products and automatically adjust their placement within set merchandising rules, delivered a 2.2% lift in click-through rate, a 4% lift in add-to-cart rate, and a 4% lift in conversion rate
