Ahold Delhaize USA grocery banner Stop & Shop is expanding its lineup of value-priced prepared meal solutions.
The new Stop & Shop 16-inch Thin Crust Take & Bake Pizza is the brand's largest pizza offering yet, serving four to six people. The pizza is available in Five Cheese and Double Pepperoni varieties for $7.99 each.
Customers can enjoy other new prepared foods offerings, including Quiche and Chicken Pot Pie.
Stop & Shop also offers a Rotisserie Chicken Meal Deal. Shoppers who purchase any two Reser's sides or deli salads can get a Rotisserie Chicken or an 8-piece Dark Meat Fried Chicken for $4.
The value-focused meal solutions come at a time when consumers have to pay more if they plan to dine out at restaurants. The August Consumer Price Index (CPI), released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics on Sept. 21, reported that the food-away-from-home index is 3.4% higher than it was last year.
In addition to the perimeter, Stop & Shop is stretching consumers' grocery budgets elsewhere in the store by bringing back its Dollar Deals promotion for the fall season.
For four weeks, from late September through October, the promotion will feature a variety of items for $1 or less. ...
