New leaders appointed for IFF's Food Ingredients business

NEW CENTURY, KAN. — IFF named Mark Hotze as chief commercial officer and Thomas Hahlin Ahlinder as senior vice president texturizing solutions, for its Food Ingredients business unit, which is moving toward becoming a standalone company next year.

Private equity firm CVC Capital Partners, Luxembourg, reached an agreement to buy the Food Ingredients unit of IFF in May for $4.3 billion, and the deal is expected to be finalized by the second quarter of 2027. IFF is retaining a 10% minority stake in the company to provide continued collaboration.

The appointments of Hotze and Ahlinder are an effort to strengthen the leadership team as the unit transitions to a standalone company, IFF said.

Hotze, who will lead the global commercial organization and customer growth strategy, most recently held leadership roles at Corbion, where he led commercial growth initiatives. He has also served in leadership roles for several industry organizations, including the American Society of Baking, BEMA, the Wheat Foods Council and North American Meat Institute.
